Pax es el grupo precursor del hard-rock en América Latina. Estaba liderado por Pico Ego-Aguirre, antiguo componente de Los Shain’s, banda icónica de garage de Perú en los 60.

Tres jóvenes peruanos y un norteamericano, menores de 23 años, compusieron un LP con letras en inglés, riffs urgentes, batería de doble bombo y una portada llena de simbología.

Se grabó bajo la influencia de bandas como Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin o Deep Purple, y se publicó en 1972, siendo considerado fundacional por el futuro movimiento metal peruano.

Reeditado con su diseño original en carpeta gatefold, incluye también un encarte con notas extensas y fotos.

Pax is the forerunner of hard-rock in Latin America. Their 1972 LP, and only full album ever released, is considered foundational and was recorded under the influence of bands like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin or Deep Purple. The group was led by Pico Ego-Aguirre, former member of Los Shain’s, iconic ‘60s garage band from Peru.

Reissued here in its original gatefold-artwork, includes an insert with extensive liner notes.
