"RED LED OR DEATH" is third album of Mermaid, their best to date, with shorter songs with a hard-rock flavour, without forgetting their Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, or Black Sabbath influences. They are not your typical stoner band. They mix the density of the heavy guitars and slow-mid tempos with some faster beats which will appeal both the Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, Fu Manchu, the punkier side of the Scandinavian hordes of Hellacopters, Maryslim, Turbonegro and Gluecifer, and the heavier riffs of the classic hard rock pioneers Blue Cheer and such. Altogether in the very special Mermaid recipe. RED LED OR DEATH!

No son una típica banda stoner.
