Los York’s became the epitome of Peruvian garage sound and the kings of the multi-group concerts which teenagers flocked to on Saturday and Sunday mornings in Lima’s main movie theaters.

Their second LP was released with cover art based on the album by the American band The Other Half, recreated by a local designer, and featuring their classic beat-influenced go-go twang guitar garage psych tone throughout.

It includes some stunning covers of Don Covay, Cream, The Monkees or The Kinks’ songs, as well as a bunch of originals and a new, longer and fuzzier version of their hit ‘Abrázame, Baby’.

Los York’s se convirtieron en la personificación del sonido garage peruano y en los reyes de los conciertos multigrupales a los que acudían los adolescentes las mañanas de los sábados y domingos en las principales salas de cine de Lima.

Su segundo LP se publicó con una portada inspirada en el álbum de la banda americana The Other Half, recreada por un diseñador local, e incluyendo su clásico sonido a base de guitarras pysch garageras con influencia go-go beat a lo largo de toda la grabación.

Incluye versiones alucinantes de canciones de Don Covay, Cream, The Monkees o The Kinks, así como un puñado de originales y una versión nueva, más larga y sucia de su hit ‘Abrázame, Baby’.
