The only single by Delai Alamos con Los King Stay was released in 1965 on Discos MAG, around the same time as the first recordings by Los Saicos and Los Shain’s, just another proof that teenage rock’n’roll energy was sky high in mid-60s Peru. The playing ability displayed on these two tracks wouldn’t get these guys into any music school, but it just makes them utterly brilliant. Ramshackle rhythms, a singer that shifts between Elvis-like moments to wild screams, sloppy surf guitars… and 100% garage punk attitude!

El único single de Delai Alamos con Los King Stay se publicó en 1965 en Discos MAG, en la misma época que las primeras grabaciones de Los Saicos y Los Shain’s, lo que demuestra que los niveles de energía rock & roll adolescente estaban por las nubes en el Perú de mediados de los 60. La destreza a los instrumentos demostrada en estos dos temas no haría que estos músicos entrasen en un conservatorio, pero precisamente por eso son tan maravillosos. Ritmos destartalados, un cantante que oscila entre imitar a Elvis y pegar gritos salvajes, guitarras surf chapuceras… ¡y actitud 100% garage punk!
